the penitentiary for not less than one nor more than two years,

affirmation prescribed by or upon any examination provided
for in this' Article, shall be guilty of or wilful and corrupt
perjury, and shall be punished according to the laws of the

affirm falsely, as aforesaid, or to offer so to do, shall, upon con-
