SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That the sanction of the General Assembly of Maryland
be and the same is hereby declared, given and granted to the
following gifts, bequests and devises to the Convention of the
Protestant Episcopal Church of the Diocese of Maryland :
1. To the bequest of Mary G. Perine : "a." of the sum of
two thousand dollars for Diocesan Missions ; "b." one thousand
dollars for superannuated and disabled clergy, and "c." one
thousand dollars for the support of the Bishop.
2. To the gift of J. Leroy White and wife, of two lots of
ground on High street, in the city of Baltimore.
3. To the bequest of the late Mrs. Harriett E. Weld, to the
Protestant Episcopal Bishop of Maryland, and by him trans-
ferred to the Protestant Episcopal Church of the Diocese of
Maryland, two thousand dollars, for the benefit of the Episco-
pal Church and Sunday School at Mount Savage, in Allegany
county.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this Act shall take effect
from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 81.
AN ACT to authorized the Governor to appoint additional
Notaries Public for Baltimore City.

Effective.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That the Governor, by and with the advice and consent
of the Senate, be and he hereby is authorized to appoint ten
(10) notaries public for Baltimore city, in addition to the num-
ber now authorized by law.

CHAPTER 82.
AN ACT for the relief of Joseph M. Heagerty.

Effective

WHEREAS, by section 10 of chapter 273 of the Acts of the
General Assembly of Maryland of 1894 the State Veterinary
Medical Board can not, since the first day of January, 1895,
issue certificates to any persons not graduate of colleges requir-
ing less than a three years' course of study ; and
