SEC. 7. And be it enacted, That whenever any
deposit shall be made by any minor the direc-

pay such sums as may be due to him or her,
although no guardian shall have been appointed
for such minor, or the guardian of such minor
shall not authorize the drawing of the same ;
and the check, receipt or acquittance of such
minor shall be valid as if the same executed by
a guardian of such minor, or the said was of full
age; provided, such deposit was made personally
by said minor ; and whenever any deposit shall
have been made by a married woman, may
repay the same on her own receipt.

Effective.

SEC. 8. And be it enacted, That this act shall
take effect from the date of its passage.

AN ACT to incorporate the Hagerstown City
Passenger Railway Company.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assem-
bly of Maryland, That S. Martin Bloom, D. C.
Aughinbaugh, Samuel F. Culbertson, Thomas
E. Hilliard, John W. Stonebraker, George B.

Take subscrip-
tions.

Oswald, Samuel McCreary, Joseph C. Roulette,
M. H. Fellheimer, George W. Harris and Wil-
liam H. A. Hamilton, be and they are hereby
appointed commissioners to take subscriptions
to the capital stock of the Hagerstown City Pas-
senger Railway Company hereby incorporated,
and that they, or a majority of them, may cause
books to be opened at such times and places in
the city of Hagerstown, in this state, and for
such period or periods, and upon such notice as
they may deem expedient, and may reopen the
same from time to time for the purpose of re-
