SEC. 8. And be it enacted, That it shall be

more than five hundred dollars, in the discretion

to have such animals slaughtered or quarantined.
SEC. 12. And be it enacted, That any person

who shall sell or otherwise dispose of an animal
which he knows, or has good reason to believe,
is affected with any contagious or infectious
disease, or has been exposed thereto within
ninety days, or shall permit the same to pass
over or upon any public highway, street, lane or
alley or to graze any unfenced lot or piece of
ground, without the consent of the said board,
shall, on conviction thereof, be fined not less than
fifty dollars nor more than one hundred dollars
for each animal so driven or exposed; such fine
may be imposed by any justice of the peace of
the city of Baltimore or court where the offence
shall be committed.
