the fraudulent removing, secreting, destroying
or selling of mortgaged personal property by the

Proviso.

mortgagor thereof ; provided, however, that the
provisions of this act shall be held only to apply
to the counties of Worcester, Wicomico, Caro-
line, Anne Arundel and St. Mary's.
SEC. 2. If said service-money shall not be paid,
the owner or owners of said stallion upon ap-
plying to some justice of the peace of the State
of Maryland in and for the county in which the

owner of the said progeny resides, and swearing
to the correctness of his or their claim, shall
have issued a writ of fieri facias upon the said
progeny, which writ shall be directed to some
constable, or other officer, who thereupon shall
seize said progeny and sell the same under the
provisions of the law of Maryland regulating
sales under execution from justices of the peace.
SEC. 3. And be it enacted, That after the ex-

penses attending such sale, and the amount of
the lien upon said progeny has been satisfied,
the balance, if any, shall be paid to the original
owner of such property sold.

Effective.

SEC. 4. And be it enacted, That this act shall
take effect from the date of its passage.

AN ACT for the better protection of sheep in
Anne Arundel county.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assem-
bly of Maryland, That the county commission-

accurate return to be made annually to the treas-
urer of the county of all dogs over the age of
two months, or possessed by each person and
kept about each house.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That the county
commissioners shall levy and cause to be col-
lected, one dollar for each dog and two dollars
|
