Chapter 508.
AN ACT to authorize the clerk of the circuit
court for Baltimore county to prepare a gen-
eral index of judgments and decrees appearing
on the records of said court.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assem-

bly of Maryland, That the clerk of the circuit
court for Baltimore county is hereby authorized
and empowered to formulate and prepare a plan
for making a general index of all judgments
and decrees affecting title to real estate appear-
ing on the law and equity dockets of said court,
and to submit the same to said court for its
approval.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That upon

the approval and adoption of the plan of in-
dexing authorized by the first section of this
act, the clerk of the circuit court for Baltimore
county is hereby authorized and empowered to
make and prepare for use in his office a new
general index of all judgments and decrees
appearing on the law and equity dockets of
said court, and of all other cases on said dockets
affecting title to real estate, upon the plan so
adopted and approved, in a book or books suit-
able for the purpose ; and all such judgments
and decrees hereafter rendered in said court
shall be indexed upon the plan aforesaid.

Cost— how
paid.

SEC. 3. And be it further enacted, That the
cost of making and preparing the index author-
ized by this act shall be paid out of the fees col-
lected by the clerk of the circuit court aforesaid.

SEC. 4. And be it further enacted, That this
act shall take effect from the date of its passage.
