Chapter 475.

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact section five of ar-
ticle eighteen of the Code of Public General
Laws, entitled "Clerks of Courts," as re-en-
acted by chapter four hundred and seventy-
five of the acts passed at the January session,
eighteen hundred and seventy-eight, so as to
make it unnecessary before issuing writs of
execution or attachment to counties or a city,
other than that in which judgment or decree
has been obtained, to have a return of nulla
bona, or for affidavit to be made that the party
making such affidavit is unable to discover in
the county or city, where the judgment or de-
cree has been obtained, property from which
the same can be realized.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General As-
sembly of Maryland, That section five of arti-
