Chapter 311.

AN ACT to authorize the county commissioners
of Calvert county to elect one member thereof
president and treasurer, and to require him to
give bond.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assem-
bly of Maryland, That the county commissioners

ized, empowered and directed, at the first meet-
ing after their election and qualification, to elect
by a majority vote one of their number president
and treasurer, who shall serve until his successor
is elected and qualified.
SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That the said presi-

sible for all moneys which shall be paid to the
said county commissioners, and shall keep an
accurate account of all receipts and expenditures;
and before he acts as such he shall give bond to
the State of Maryland in the penalty of ten
thousand dollars, with surety or sureties, to be
approved by two judges of the orphans' court or
one judge of the circuit court for Calvert county,
with conditions that he shall well and faithfully
execute his office; and shall account for to the
county commissioners of Calvert county, and
pay upon their order or orders the several sums
of money which he shall receive for the said
commissioners, or be answerable for by law at
such times as the said commissioners shall
require.
SEC. 3. And be it further enacted. That the
