SEC. 5. And be it enacted, That all acts and
parts of acts inconsistent with this act be and
the same are hereby repealed.

Effective.

SEC. 6. And be it enacted, That this act shall
take effect from the date of its passage.

Chapter 50.
AN ACT to enlarge the powers of the " Liberty
and Pipe Creek Turnpike Road Company of
Frederick county," with reference to the col-
lection of tolls for the use of the roads of
said company.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assem-
bly of Maryland, That the "Liberty and Pipe
Creek Turnpike Road Company of Frederick
county," a body corporate owning a turnpike
wall from Libertytown to Johnsville, and thence
on to Union Bridge, and a lateral branch turn-
pike road from Daniel Wolfes, on said turnpike
road to Hopewell school-house on the public

road leading to McKinstry's mill, be and is
hereby authorized and empowered, as to the
whole extent of its road, including said lateral
branch road, to assess upon such individual or
person habitually using said road, or said lateral
branch road, or any part thereof, and not pass-
ing or going through any of its toll-gates, such

have power to collect the same before any
