Chapter 162.
AN ACT to empower the county commissioners
of St. Mary's county to levy a sum of money
for the building of a school-house for white
children in Foster's neck, in St. Mary's county.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General As-

sembly of Maryland, That the county commis-
sioners of St. Mary's county be and they are
hereby empowered and directed to levy for the
building of a school-house for white children, in
Foster's neck, in St. Mary's county, such a sum
of money as in the opinion of the said commis-
sioners may be sufficient for the purpose herein-
before specified.

Effective.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this act shall
take effect from the date of its passage.

Chapter 163.
AN ACT to repeal sections twenty-two and
twenty-three of article twenty-eight of the
Code of Public General Laws, title "County
Commissioners," sub-title "Public Roads," so
far as the same relate to Howard county, and
also to add two additional sections to the
Code of Public Local Laws, title "Howard
County."

and the same are hereby repealed so far as they
relate to Howard county, and that two addi-
tional sections be and the same are hereby
added to the Code of Public Local Laws, title
" Howard County," to read as follows :
