bank or County Commissioners; and no part of the said
redemption fund shall be used or paid out for any purpose
whatever, except the redemption of said bonds; and if the
County Commissioners of Caroline county shall, directly or
indirectly, use or pay out any portion of the fund, levied for
the payment of the principal or interest of the said bonds, for
any other purpose, they shall be guilty of a misdemeanor, and
shall, on indictment and conviction, be fined not less than one
hundred dollars nor more than five hundred dollars, and the
costs of the prosecution, or be confined in the county jail for
not less than thirty nor more than ninety days, or be both
fined and imprisoned, in the discretion of the court, and to
remain imprisoned until the fine and costs are fully paid.

SEC. 8. And be it enacted, That the bonds hereby author-
ized shall be exempted from all county and municipal taxes,
and that coupons for interest thereon shall be received by the
county treasurer in payment of county taxes.

Exempt from

SEC. 9. And be it enacted, That when the building and
furnishing the said court house is completed, the commis-
sioners hereby appointed to contract for and superintend the
same shall make a full and explicit statement, under oath, of
the amount of bonds required by them to be issued under this
act, and a full and detailed statement of the cost of building
and furnishing of the said court house, and of their actual
personal expenses in and about the same, the names of every
person to whom money was paid, for what paid, and the
amount thereof, to be filed with the County Commissioners;
and the said County Commissioners shall publish said state-
ment for three successive weeks, in two newspapers published
in Caroline county, of opposite political views.

SEC. 10. And be it enacted, That the court house authorized
to be built by this act shall not be begun until the first day of
March, 1895.

commenced.

SEC. 11. And be it enacted, That this act shall take effect
from the date of its passage.

Approved April 6th, 1894.
