LAWS OF MARYLAND.

by deed of trust, dated the 15th day of May, 1802, and
recorded in Liber W. G. No. 70, folio 520, &c., and another
lot in the same city adjoining the aforementioned lot, conveyed
to it by John Sinelare and Elizabeth Sinclare, his wife, by
deed of trust, dated May 30th, 1811, and recorded in Liber
W. G. No. 115, folio 625, &c., of the land records of Balti-
more city, on which its present church edifice or house of
worship and hall now stands; and

Preamble.

WHEREAS, Said corporation is desirous of disposing of the
aforementioned lots of ground for the purpose of applying
the proceeds to the purchasing of another lot of ground, and
the erection of a new edifice thereon.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That the Board of Trustees of the Sharp Street
Station of the Methodist Episcopal Church in the city of Balti-
more be and it is hereby authorized and empowered to sell,
convey or otherwise dispose of said lots of land in the city of
Baltimore, conveyed by James Carey and Martha Carey, his
wife, and John Sinclare and Elizabeth Sinclare, his wife, to
apply the proceeds thereof to the purchasing of a lot of
ground and the erection of a church edifice thereon.

.Effective.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this act shall take effect
from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 592.

AN ACT to prohibit the catching or taking of oysters with
scoop, scrape, drag, dredge or any similar instrument in the
waters of Tangier Sound, Somerset County.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That it shall not be lawful for any person or per-
sons to take or employ any vessel or boat in catching or tak-
ing oysters with scoop or scrape, drag or dredge or any similar
instrument, in the waters of Tangier Sound, in Somerset county.

Penalty for
violation.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That any person or persons vio-
lating any of the provisions of this act, shall be fined in a sum
not less than two hundred dollars or more than three hundred
