feet to a stone, thence north thirty-seven and one-half
degrees, west six hundred and eighty-one feet to a stone;
thence north thirty-six degrees, west fifteen hundred and
fifteen feet to a stone; thence north forty-four and one half
degrees, west three hundred and thirty-seven feet to a stone in
the southeast line of the Brunswick road, thence crossing said
Brunswick road and the farm owned by Daniel Shafer, north
fifty-five and one-half degrees west seventeen hundred and
twenty feet to intersect the line between the property now
owned by Daniel Shafer and the property of the C. F. Wenner
estate, thence with said line south twenty degrees fifty-five
minutes, west twenty eight hundred and fifty-six feet to a
stone, thence with a line between the property of the C. F.
Wenner estate and the property now owned by Wm. W.
Weems, south twenty-four degrees twenty minutes west, con-
tinuing same until it intersects the Maryland State line, thence
southeasterly binding on the Maryland State line until it inter-
sects a line drawn south twenty-one and one-fourth degrees
west from the beginning, and thence reversing said line so
drawn and binding thereon, north twenty-one and one- fourth
degrees west to the place of beginning.

elected.

SEC. 3. The male citizens of said town of Brunswick of the
age of twenty-one years and upwards, who have resided in the
State of Maryland for a period of twelve months, in the
county for a period of six months and within the corporate
limits for a period of thirty days previous to any election,
shall, on the first Monday in August in the year eighteen
hundred and ninety-four, and every two years thereafter on the
same day, at such place as shall be designated by the council,
between the hours of seven o'clock A. M. and six o'clock P. M.,
elect one person at least thirty years of age, mayor of said

town, and six persons not less than twenty-five years of age,
councilmen of said town, all of whom shall be bona fide
residents and owners of real estate in said town at the time of
their election; the mayor of said town shall receive as com-
pensation for his services such sum as may be determined
upon, from time to time, by the council.

SEC. 4. The present council shall, before the first election to
be held under the provisions of this charter, divide said town
into three wards or precincts, and there shall be two of the
council elected from each ward or precinct, one to be elected
for a period of two years, the other to be elected for a period
of four years at said first election; at every election to be held
