FRANK BROWN, ESQUIRE, GOVERNOR.

be called for by the board of directors, the said company may
collect all of the said note or such part thereof as remains
unpaid, deduct the amount due the company and return the
remainder to the maker of such note, or they may sue for and
recover upon such note such interest or assessments as may
have been called for by said board of directors; and upon the
payment of such interest or assessments and costs of suit, the
policy of insurance shall continue in force and effect unless the
board of directors shall cancel the same.

SEC. 11. And be it enacted, That the board of directors
shall make such by-laws, not inconsistent with this charter or
the Constitution and laws of the State of Maryland, as they
may deem necessary to conduct the affairs of the company,
and shall have power to alter or amend the same.

SEC. 12. And be it enacted, That Edward L. Collentz,
William W. Daub, Daniel S. Kepler, Emory C. Ramsburg
and D. Edward Kefauver, shall constitute the first board of
directors, and shall serve until their successors are elected and
qualified as prescribed by this charter.

SEC. 13. And be it enacted, That this act shall take effect
from the date of its passage, and that the legislature reserves
the right to alter or amend this act of incorporation at pleasure.

CHAPTER 519.

AN ACT to amend Article 4 of the Code of Public Local
Laws, title "City of Baltimore," sub-title "Fines and For-
feitures," and to add certain Sections thereto, to be desig-
nated Sections 306, 307, 308 and 30;), and provide for an
equal distribution among the dispensaries of the City of
''Baltimore of fines imposed for keeping houses of ill-fame.

Effective.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That article 4 of the Code of Public Local Laws,
title "City of Baltimore," be amended, and that certain new
sections be added thereto, to follow section 305, and to be num-
bered sections 306, 307, 308 and 309, and to read as follows:
