addition to the remedy above provided for the enforcement of
the taxes so levied, the collector may, in the name of the
"Commissioners of Sharptown," by suit and execution enforce
the payment and collection of taxes, in the same manner and
to the same extent as debts due and owing individuals are
now or may be hereafter collected by process of law.

Assessment
of property
|
168. The commissioners may, as often as deemed advisable,
cause an assessment to be made of all real and personal prop-
erty within the corporate limits, by one person to be appointed
and paid by them, who shall be a taxpayer and resident of the
town, which assessment the commissioners may, on good cause
shown, increase or decrease as may be right and proper, and
the commissioners may levy a tax thereon, not exceeding in
any one year twenty cents on the hundred dollars' worth of
property.

Effective.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this act shall take effect
from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 422.
AN ACT to repeal Section 26 A of Article 72 of the Code of
Public General Laws, title "Oysters," sub-title "State Fishery
Force," as said section was enacted by Chapter 643 of the
Acts of 1892.

Repeal.
|
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That section 26 A of article 72 of the Code of
Public General Laws, title "Oysters," sub-title "State Fishery
Force," as said section was enacted by chapter 643 of the acts
of 1892, be and the same is hereby repealed.
