section shall be construed to authorize any pharmacist or drug-
gist to sell or barter any alcoholic bitters as a beverage; and
any pharmacist or druggist so selling or bartering within said
limits shall be liable to the penalties prescribed in said section.

SEC. 5. And be it enacted, That one-half of all fines imposed
by section two shall be paid to the informer, and one half to
the Board of School Commissioners of said county for the use
of the public schools; and in case fines be imposed by the said
Circuit Court or justices of the peace, said violators shall be
committed to the county jail of said county until such fines
and costs are paid.

Disposition of
fines.

SEC. 6. And be it enacted, That this act shall take effect
from the date of its passage.

Approved March 7th, 1894.

CHAPTER 46.

AN ACT to empower the County Commissioners of St. Mary's
County to levy a sum of money for the building of a school
house for white children, near All Faith Church, in the fifth
election district of St. Mary's County.


SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That the County Commissioners of St. Marys
county be and they are hereby empowered and directed to
levy for the building of a school house for white children,
near All Faith Church, Fifth Election District of St. Mary's
county, such a sum of money as in the opinion of the said
commissioners may be sufficient for the purpose hereinbefore
specified.

May build a
school house.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That the School Board of St.
Mary's county build the school house provided for in this act
in such a vicinity of All Faith Church as they may agree.

Where to be
built.

SEC. 3. And be it enacted, That this act shall take effect
from the date of its passage.

Approved March 7th, 1894.
