received by him on judgments, and shall well and truly pay
over the same; and the said bond shall be recorded in the office
of the clerk of the court for the county or of the clerk of the
Superior Court of Baltimore city, and a copy thereof under
seal of the said court, shall be good evidence to prove the
execution of such bond in any court of the State; provided,
that constables in Calvert county shall give such bond in the
penalty of five hundred dollars and for no greater sum.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this act shall take effect
from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 312.

AN ACT to add an additional section to Article 4, of the
Public Local Laws, title " City of Baltimore," sub-title
"Streets, Bridges and Highways," and to add a new section
to Article 4, of the Code of Public Local Laws, title "City
of Baltimore," sub-title "Streets, Bridges and Highways," to
come in immediately after Section 806, and to be known as
Section 806|.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of

Effective.

Maryland, That the following be added as an additional sec-
tion to article 4, of the Code of Public Local Laws, title "City
of Baltimore," sub-title "Streets, Bridges and Highways,
to wit :

New section.

That the Mayor and City Council of Baltimore shall have,
and are hereby vested with full power and authority to provide
by ordinance for the collection of rent or revenue, which may
or can be derived or collected from the occupiers, tenants or
by whatever name they may be called, for the use and oecupa-
'tion by them, of all building or buildings, or other property
which the city pays for, to the owners thereof, in all cases of
street openings, closings or widenings, or in any case of con-
demnation for any purpose whatever, said rent to be paid by
said tenants or occupiers of said building or buildings or other
property, to the city authorities, from the date of payment for
the same by the city aforesaid, to the owners thereof, or from
the date of the tender of such payment, if for any cause said
