SEC. '2. And be it enacted, That this act shall take effect
from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 305.

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact with amendments Chapter
283 of the Acts of the General Assembly of 1892, entitled
An Act to repeal Section 81 of Article 11 of the Code
of Public Local Laws, title ''Frederick County," sub-title
"County Commissioners," and to re-enact the same with
amendments.

Effective.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That the act of 1892, chapter 283, entitled an act
to repeal section 81 of article 11 of the Code of Public Local
Laws, title "Frederick County," sub-title "County Commis-
sioners," and to re-enaet the same with amendments, be and
the same is hereby repealed and re-enacted so as to read aa
follows :

Repeal.

81. The next election of County Commissioners of Fred-
erick county shall be held on Tuesday after the first Monday
in the month of November, A. D. 1897, and there shall then
be elected by the qualified voters of said Frederick county,
five County Commissioners, which number shall thenceforth
compose the board of County Commissioners, two of whom
shall be elected for the term of two years, and three of whom
shall be elected for the term of four years, and, thereafter, on
the expiration of the terms for which the said commissioners
shall have been elected, there shall be elected, respectively, two
County Commissioners and three County Commissioners for
the term of four years, to succeed the said commissioners
whose terms shall thus have, respectively, expired, and the
terms for which said commissioners shall thereafter be elected,
shall be for the full term of four years; and said commis-
sioners so elected shall severally receive for the services per-
formed, the same compensation as is now or may hereafter be
allowed by law.
