LAWS OF MARYLAND.

William T. Byrd, Inspector of Oysters for Crisfield, in
Somerset county; for $359.41 in favor of Columbus Wiley,
Inspector of Oysters for Cambridge, in Dorchester county ;
for $359.41 in favor of J. L. Beds worth, Inspector of Oysters
for Wicomico county; for $359.41 in favor of William S.
Miles, Inspector of Oysters for Somerset county, outside of
Crisfield District; for $359.41 in favor of William H.
Wilmer, Inspector of Oysters for Queen Anne's county; for
$359.41 in favor of Robert M. Hurley, Inspector of Oysters
for Dorchester county; provided further, however, that any
and all sums which may be collected under the provisions of
section 20 H of chapter 278, as enacted by the Acts of 1892,
in the nature of fines or of any other description whatsoever,
shall be forwarded to the Comptroller and to be credited by
him to the oyster fund.

Effective.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this act shall take effect
from the date of its passage.

Approved April 6th, 1894.

CHAPTER 265.

AN ACT to authorize, empower and direct the County Com-
missioners of Somerset County to fund certain indebtedness
of the Board of County School Commissioners of Somerset
County by issuing bonds therefor and to levy a tax for the
payment of the same.

WHEKEAS, The board of County School Commissioners of

Preamble.

Somerset county has at various times become indebted in cer-
tain sums of money for the purpose of maintaining its schools
and providing school houses for the said county; and

Preamble.

WHEKEAS, It is desirable to provide by law for the gradual
liquidation of said indebtedness; therefore,

May issue
bonds.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That the County Commissioners of Somerset
county be and they are hereby authorized, empowered and
directed to immediately issue bonds to the amount of ten
thousand dollars, in sums of not less than one hundred nor
