FRANK BROWN, ESQURE, GOVERNOR,
CHAPTER 242.

AN ACT to add an additional section to Article seventeen of
the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland, entitled "Prince
George's County," sub-title "Liquor and Intoxicating
Drinks," to be known as Section two hundred and fifty-
five A.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That the following additional Section be added to
article seventeen of the Public Local Laws of Maryland, en-
titled "Prince George's County," sub-title "Liquor and Intox-
icating Drinks," to be known as section two hundred and
fifty-five A.

New section.

SEC. 255 A. It shall be the duty of the clerk of the Circuit
Court for Prince George's county, to publish annually in one
of two of the newspapers published in said county having the
largest circulation, the names of all persons, firms, corporations,
companies and associations who have obtained licenses, under
the provisions of section two hundred and fifty-two and two
hundred and fifty-three of this article, for three successive
weeks, annually, commencing said publication the first week
in June; and it shall be the duty of said clerk to pay over to
the County Commissioners of said county, the license money
received by him under said sections within ten days after
receiving the same; a failure of said clerk to make the publi-
cation herein required, or pay over the license money as
required, shall in each case subject him to a fine of not less
than fifty dollars nor more than one hundred dollars, to be
recovered as fines and penalties are now recovered. It shall
be the duty of each and every person who has obtained a
license, to post the same and keep the same posted in a con-
spicuous position at his, her, its or their place of business,
under a like penalty as is above imposed on the clerk of the
court.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this act shall take effect
from the date of its passage.

Approved April 6th, 1894.
