Effective.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this act shall take effect
from the date of its passage.

Approved April 6th, 1894.

CHAPTER 211.

AN ACT to prohibit the sale of spirituous or fermented
liquors or lager beer in the village of Surrattsville, in Prince
George's County, Maryland, or within one mile thereof.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of

Maryland, That it shall not be lawful for the clerk of the
Circuit Court for Prince George's county, Maryland, to issue
license to any person or persons to sell spirituous or fermented
liquors or lager beer in trie village of Surrattsville, in Prince
George's county, or at any place nearer than two miles in
every direction from said village of Surrattsville.

Effective.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this act shall take effect
from the date of its passage.

Approved April 3d, 1894.

CHAPTER 212.

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact with amendments Section 126
of Article 21, of the Code of Public Local Laws, title
" Talbot County," sub title " Liquors and Intoxicating
Drinks."

Repeal.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That section 126 of article 21, of the Code of
Public Local Laws, title " Talbot County," sub-title " Liquors
and Intoxicating Drinks," be and the same is hereby repealed
and re-enacted, with amendments, so as to read as follows :

Where
intoxicating
liquors shall
not be sold.

126. It shall be unlawful for any person to barter or sell
any cider or medicated bitters producing intoxication, or any
other intoxicating liquors, within the limits of said election
districts of Talbot county; provided, that nothing herein con-
