May purchase
additional
ground.

Church in the city and precincts of Baltimore," be and it is
hereby authorized and empowered to purchase or lease any
land not exceeding fifty acres lying adjacent and contiguous to
the land now held by the said corporation for burial purposes,
known as Mount Olive Cemetery, for the purpose of enlarging
said cemetery, and that the additional quantity when pur-
chased or acquired by said corporation shall from and there-
after be a part of the cemetery or burial ground held by the
said corporation known as Mount Olive Cemetery, and that
the provisions of an act of Assembly passed at the December
session of 1844, chapter 126, entitled "An act authorizing the
Methodist Episcopal Church in the city and precincts of Balti-
more to hold certain lands as a burial ground," and of an act
i>f Assembly passed at the December session, 1849, chapter
323, entitled "A supplement to an act passed at the December
session, 1844, chapter 126, entitled an act authorizing the
Methodist Episcopal Church in the city and precincts of Balti-
more to hold certain lands as a burial ground," and of an act
passed at the session 1852, chapter 278, entitled "An act to
authorize the enlargement of Mount Olive Cemetery and for
the better protection of the same," extend to said additional
land when acquired as fully and in the same manner as if the
same had formed a part of the tract of land originally pur-
chased and referred to in the above mentioned acts of
Assembly.

May sell and
convey
ground.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That the said " Trustees
of the Methodist Episcopal Church in the city and precincts
of Baltimore," be and it is hereby authorized and empowered
at any time or times hereafter to sell and convey the land now
held by it which was acquired for burial purposes under the
authority of the acts of Assembly referred to in the foregoing
section, or which may be hereafter acquired under the provis-
ions of this act or any part or parts thereof, and to convey the
same to the purchaser or purchasers with all the rights, duties,
exemptions and privileges granted to said corporation by the
aforesaid acts of Assembly as to said land for the purposes of
a cemetery.

Effective.

SEC. 3. And be it enacted, That this act shall take effect
from the date of its passage.
