FRANK BROWN, ESQUIRE, GOVERNOR.

County," sub-title " County Commissioners," to come in after
section twenty-two, and be known as section 22 A, to read as
follows :

SEC, 22 A. Whenever they deem it necessary the County
Commissioners may, on or before the first day of May in each
year, appoint some person as keeper of the standards of
weights and measures fur the county, who shall safely keep
and preserve said standards, and when required shall deliver
them to the County Commissioners, or to such person as they
may appoint to receive the same, and who shall perform the
several duties of his office prescribed by law.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That all acts or parts of acts
inconsistent with the provisions of this act be and the same
are hereby repealed, in so far as they relate to Carroll county,

CHAPTER 110.

AN ACT to add a new section to Article seventy of the Code
of Public (General Laws, title " Official Oaths," regulating
the administration of the oath or affirmation of office, pre-
scribed by the Constitution, to District School Trustees, to
be designated as Section 5 A, and to follow Section 5 of said
Article.


SECTION 1. Be it enacted ty the General Assembly oj
Maryland, That a new section be and the same is hereby
added to article seventy of the Code of Public General Laws,
title " Official Oaths," to be designated as section 5 A, to fallow
section 5, and to read as follows :

New section.

5 A. District school trustees shall take and subscribe the oath
or affirmation of office prescribed by the Constitution, before
the county school commissioner and examiner or a justice of
the peace, in their respective counties.
