SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That Section 5 of Article 3 of the Code of Public

Local Laws of Maryland, title "Baltimore County," sub-title
"Birds and Game," as amended by Chapter 35 of the Acts
of 1890, and Chapter 122 of the 'Acts of 1894, and Chapter
542 of the Acts of 1904, and Sections 5 and 8 of said article
as amended by Chapter 542 of the Acts of 1904, be and the
same are hereby repealed and re-enacted, to read as follows :
5. No person shall shoot, or in any manner catch, kill,

trap, take or have in possession in Baltimore county, any
rabbit, pheasant, partridge, or woodcock, between December
24th and November 1st, exclusive of both dates, or upon
any Sunday or election day, or when the ground is covered
with snow; and no person shall shoot, or in any manner
catch, kill, trap, take or have in possession in Baltimore
county, any squirrel, between November the 1st and Septem-
ber the 15th, exclusive of both dates, or upon any Sunday or
election day.
8. Any owner who shall permit his dog or dogs to run at

large during a closed season, and pursue or kill, harm or
destroy th'e eggs, nests or young thereof, shall be deemed
guilty of misdemeanor and be subject to a fine of five dollars
for each and every offense, one-half to go to the informer, or
imprisonment in jail for five days, in discretion of the court
or justice imposing fine or sentence; except, however, that
any owner shall be permitted, between September 1st and
December 24th, exclusive of both dates, to train or run his
dog or dogs; any person who shall harbor or permit any
dog to remain on or about the premises shall be deemed the
owner of such dog for the purpose of this section.
SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this Act shall take effect
from the date of its passage.

Local Laws of Maryland, entitled "Allegany County," sub-
title "Dogs and Sheep," for the purpose of encouraging
sheep raising, and providing protection for loss of sheep.
