sum of four thousand dollars per annum for two years out
of the proceeds of the State school tax before making appor-
tionment thereof; provided, however, that no portion of said
four thousand dollars per annum shall be used for any other
purpose than for salaries and ordinary running expenses of
said schools.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this Act shall take effect
from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 444.
AN ACT to amend Article 52 of the Code of Public General
Laws, title "Justice of the Peace," sub-title "Criminal
Jurisdiction," by adding two new sections thereto to fol-
low Section 12, to be designated as Section 12 A and Sec-
tion 12 B, providing for the execution of process and
amendment of proceedings of justices in criminal cases.
