ments of the said corporation, joint stock company or asso-
tion for the amount of the fine and costs which may be
awarded against them, in the same manner as on a judgment
in a civil action; and the said sheriff shall proceed to sell
the goods and chattels or lands and tenements of the said
corporation joint stock company or association, on the said
execution in the same manner as on executions issued in a
civil suit.
SEC. 2. That this Act shall take effect from the date of its
passage.

CHAPTER 404.
AN ACT to repeal and re-enact with amendments Section
22 of Article 81 of the Code of Public General Laws,
title " Revenue and Taxes," sub-title " Rate and Items of
State Tax," as said section was amended by the Acts of
the General Assemby of 1904, Chapter 343.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-

and Items of State Tax," as said section was amended by
the Acts of the General Assembly of 1904, Chapter 343, be

read as follows :
22. The County Commissioners of the several counties of

this State and the Mayor and City Council of Baltimore are
directed to levy the State taxes, to be collected according to
law, and to be apportioned for the year 1907 and annually
thereafter, as follows: A tax of sixteen cents on each one
hundred dollars to aid in the support of the public schools,
to be distributed according to law among the several counties
and the city of Baltimore, and the Comptroller of the Trea-
sury shall levy the same State taxes on the shares of the
capital stock of all banks, State and National, and other
incorporated institutions and companies of this State, the
shares of whose capital stock are liable by law to assess-
ment and taxation.
