traps or device now used or which may hereafter be invented
or used to take, catch, capture or kill fish without the
authority of a license first had and obtained, as hereinbefore
provided, or who shall violate any of the provisions of the
five preceding sections of this Article, shall be guilty of a
misdemeanor, and upon conviction therefore by any justice
of the peace in Queen Anne's county, shall be fined not less
than twenty dollars nor more than one hundred dollars for
each offense, and pay the costs of prosecution, and in default
of the payment of said fine and costs shall be committed
to the county jail for thirty days, or until such fine and costs
are paid, whichever shall first occur; one-half of any fine
paid under this Act shall go to the informer and the other
one-half shall be paid over to the County Commissioners of

convicted under this Article may appeal to the Circuit Court
for Queen Anne's county, but the appeal shall be taken
within ten days from his conviction.
