traps or device now used or which may hereafter be invented
or used to take, catch, capture or kill fish without the
authority of a license first had and obtained, as hereinbefore
provided, or who shall violate any of the provisions of the
five preceding sections of this Article, shall be guilty of a
misdemeanor, and upon conviction therefore by any justice
of the peace in Queen Anne's county, shall be fined not less
than twenty dollars nor more than one hundred dollars for
each offense, and pay the costs of prosecution, and in default
of the payment of said fine and costs shall be committed
to the county jail for thirty days, or until such fine and costs
are paid, whichever shall first occur; one-half of any fine
paid under this Act shall go to the informer and the other
one-half shall be paid over to the County Commissioners of

Queen Anne's county for the use of said county. Any person
convicted under this Article may appeal to the Circuit Court
for Queen Anne's county, but the appeal shall be taken
within ten days from his conviction.
Section 174 A. It shall be the duty of any commanding

in cases coming under their observation, or on information
derived from other persons, to enforce this law with all
means at his command by the arrest of any person violating
its provisions, and to carry such person by him so arrested
before the nearest justice of the peace in Queen Anne's
county for trial.

may find violating any of its provisions, or who may be
charged on the oath of any person with violating the same.
Section 174 C. Nothing in this Article shall be construed
to prevent any person from catching a fish in the aforesaid

fide residents of Queen Anne's county from taking, catching
and capturing fish therein for his family or home use with-

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That all Acts and parts of Acts

repealed.
SEC. 3. And be it enacted, That this Act shall take effect
from the date of its passage.
