teen and three-quarter degrees west two perches; thence
running along the south side of Jackson street north seventy-
five degrees west thirty-two perches to a large red oak tree
standing on the east margin of the public road leading from
Hancock to Warfordsburg, Pennsylvania; thence south fifty-
five degrees west ten and three-fourths perches to a large
sycamore tree standing on the east bank of Little Tonoloway
creek; thence down said Little Tonoloway creek bounding
on the edge of the water one hundred perches to the place
of .beginning.
Section 224. The government of said town shall be vested

in the burgess, assistant burgess and three commissioners,
to be elected as hereinafter provided.
Section 225. The male citizens of Hancock of the age of
twenty-one years and upwards, who shall reside within the

corporate limits of said town six months preceding the elec-
tion, shall on the first Monday in April, in the year 1906, and
upon the same day in every year thereafter, elect by ballot
a person not under twenty -five years of age, a citizen of the
United States and a registered voter of the State of Mary-
land, and two years a resident of said town next preceding
the election, to be the burgess of said town; at the same time
and in the same manner there also shall be elected three
persons, having the same qualifications herein prescribed
for the office of burgess, to be commissioners of Hancock,
and also one person of like qualifications to be assistant
burgess. The burgess, assistant burgess and commissioners
of Hancock, who shall have been elected on the first Mon-
day in April, 1905, shall respectively be the burgess, assis-
tant burgess and commissioners of the town of Hancock
until the first Monday in April in the year 1906, and shall
exercise all the powers and perform all the functions upon
them respectively by this Act conferred.
Section 226. All elections shall be held and conducted as
