indigent blind women as appear to them worthy and to have
no other means of support; provided, however, that the
total expenditure on any such woman shall 'not exceed two
hundred dollars per annum.

SEC. 4. And be it enacted by tlie General Assembly of Mary-

AN ACT to Amend the Charter and Extend the Powers of
the Century Fire Insurance Company of Baltimore City.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-

Assembly of Maryland of 1900, in addition to the powers
possessed by it under the said mentioned Act, shall have the

tion; of making insurance against liability for negligence or
torts of any nature or description.

the business of inspecting boilers, engines, mechanical
appliances and machinery of all kinds, at such rate of com-
pensation, if any, as may be agreed upon between the said
company and the persons for whom such inspection may be
