CHAPTER 259.
AN ACT to regulate the Printing and Publishing to be done
by the Board of County School Commissioners of Charles
County.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That the Board of County School Commissioners of

Charles County shall publish in at least two newspapers
published in said county, if there be two representing the
two opposing political parties which at the last election pre-
ceding the termination of the respective fiscal years poll
respectively the legal number of votes cast in said county, the
statement of their receipts and disbursements including the
money received and expenses on account of text-books and
the statements of the indebtedness of the board at the close
of the fiscal year, and the items of expense of the individual
schools, which they are required to publish under Section
27 of Article 77 of the Code of Public General Laws, title
"Public Education," sub-title "County School Commis-
sioners," and all other matters of which the public should be
informed as to the publication of which they now have dis-
cretion; provided, the said board of school commissioners
shall not allow as compensation or consideration for publish-
ing the same more than the current rates charged by said
newspapers for such a like advertising, not exceeding in the
aggregate for both such newspapers the sum of one hundred
and fifty dollars ($150) for any one fiscal year.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this Act shall take effect
from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 260.
AN ACT to extend the privileges, enlarge the powers,
amend and ratify the Charter of the Deposit and Savings
Bank of Snow Hill.

WHEREAS, The "Deposit and Savings Bank of Snow Hill,"
in Worcester county, in the State of Maryland, was duly
