Register of Wills; and all such acts heretofore performed by
any such assistant clerk or deputy are hereby expressly
ratified and confirmed as if they had been performed by the
Register of Wills in person.

SEC. 3. Be it enacted, That this Act shall take effect from
the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 34.

AN A.CT to authorize and empower the Burgess and Com-
missioners of Williamsport, Washington county, Maryland,
to enter into and make a contract or contracts with any
person or persons, corporation or corporations, for a
supply of water to said town, and to levy taxes to pay
said, person or persons, corporation or corporations,
according to the terms of said contract.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That the burgess and Commissioners of Williamsport,

Washington county, Maryland are hereby authorized and
empowered to enter into and make a contract or contracts
with any person or persons, corporation or corporations for
the purpose of supplying water to the citizens of said town,
and for the use in case of fire in said town, and the burgess
and Commissioners shall have and are hereby vested with
power and authority to levy taxes in addition to the amount
now authorized by law sufficient to meet the requirements of
any contract or contracts executed under the provision of
this section!

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this Act shall take effect
from the date of its passage.

AN ACT to provide for the appointment of an additional
notary public for Calvert county, and that he be appointed
from the qualified voters of the third election district of
