the interest on the outstanding bonds issued by them under
the provisions of this Act, as the same shall fall due, and to
gradually redeem and retire such bonds until they all shall
have been redeemed and retired; and the proceeds of such tax
shall be collected by said commissioners as the other taxes
of said town are collected, and forthwith by them applied to
the redemption of said bonds when and as soon as they shall
become redeemable; and the said taxes are hereby inviolably
dedicated to the payment of the interest and principal of said
bonds.
SEC. 5. And be it enacted, That this Act shall take effect
from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 226.
AN ACT to appropriate a sum of money to refund Lucinda
Teat for money paid into the Treasury of the State of
Maryland on account of the forfeiture of the bail of Eugene
Teat.
WHEREAS, The said Lucinda Teat became bail for one

Preamble.
|
Eugene Teat, conditoned for his appearance to the November
term of court for Queen Anne's county, Maryland, to answer
the charge of larceny; and
WHEREAS, The said Eugene Teat failed to appear at said
session of court and the bail was forfeited, and paid by the
said Lucinda Teat to the sheriff of Queen Anne's county, and
by said sheriff the sum of two hundred and fifty-three dollars
and ninety-seven cents was paid into the treasury of the
State of Maryland, on account of money received by the
aforesaid sheriff for said forfeiture of bail; and
WHEREAS, The said Eugene Teat was afterwards apprehen-
ded and convicted upon the same charge for which said bail
was forfeited, and sentenced by the Circuit Court for Queen
Anne's county, Maryland, to three years in the Maryland
Penitentiary, at the May term of court of 1904, the next suc-
ceeding court after the forfeiture of the bail aforementioned ;
and
WHEREAS, The ends of justice have been subserved and the
State satisfied by the aforesaid apprehension and conviction,
it is fair and equitable that the aforesaid sum of money should
be refunded to the said Lucinda Teat,
