five thousand shares, according to the certificate of incor-
poration, approved 13th day of March, 1905, and duly
recorded in the office of the clerk of the Circuit Court for
Allegany County, Maryland, in Liber J. W. Y. No. 4, folio
228; and
WHEREAS, It is the desire and wish of the directors and
stockholders of said corporation that it be authorized and
empowered to increase its capital stock from twenty-five
thousand dollars to thirty-five thousand dollars, by issuing
two hundred shares of preferred stock of the par value, fifty
dollars each, said stock to bear interest at the rate of five
per centum per annum; now, therefore,
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-

land, be and it is hereby authorized and empowered to

to thirty-five thousand dollars, by issuing two hundred shares
of preferred stock of the par value of fifty dollars each, said

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this Act shall take effect
from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 176.
AN ACT to add an additional Section to Article 1 of the
Code of Public Local Laws of the State of Maryland, title
"Allegany County," sub-title "Intoxicating Liquors," said
Section to be known as 175L I, providing for the issuance
of licenses to retailers and hotel keepers.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That an additional section be and the same is hereby
