dispose of, in whole or in part, to the Mayor and City
Council of Baltimore, any or all of the parcels of property
of the State of Maryland, or any interest or interests therein,
involved in the widening of Light street, in the city of Bal-
timore, from Pratt street to Lee street, as now or hereafter
proposed by the Burnt District Commission created by
Chapter 87 of the Acts of the General Assembly of Mary-
land for the year 1904, upon such terms as to price or other-
wise as shall be agreed upon between said State officials, or
a majority of them, and said Burnt District Commission,
and also to execute, acknowledge and deliver for and on
behalf of the State of Maryland all the necessary deeds,
conveyances or other legal instruments therefor; provided, any
and all sums of money derived from the sale, lease or other
disposition of the State tobacco warehouse property under
the provisions of this Act shall be placed to the credit of
the State tobacco fund.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER L46.

AN ACT to authorize and direct the Mayor and City Council
of Baltimore to appropriate a sum of money out of the
Burnt District Benefit Assessment Fund for the improve-
ment of the tract of land near Loch Raven, in Baltimore
county, belonging to the House of Refuge, and for the
erection of buildings suitable for the purpose of the House
of Refuge thereon, and for furnishing and equiping the
same.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That the Mayor and City Council of Baltimore, be and

workings of Chapter 87 of the Acts of the General Assem-
bly of Maryland for the year 1904, commonly known as the

dollars, or so much thereof as may be necessary, for the
