SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That the Treasurer of the State

CHAPTER 141.

AN ACT to empower the Mayor and City Council of Balti-
more to allow discounts for the early payment of benefit
assessments under Chapter 87 of the Acts of the General
Assembly of Maryland for the year 1904, commonly
known as the Burnt District Commission Act.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That the Mayor and City Council of Baltimore be and

deem advisable, for the early payment of benefit assessments
under Chapter 87 of the Acts of the General Assembly of
Maryland for the year 1904, commonly known as the Burnt

AN ACT to authorize and direct the Board of Fire Commis-
sioners of the City of Baltimore to place on the pension
roll of the Baltimore City Fire Department, William C.
McAfee, formerly Chief Engineer of the Fire Department

WHEREAS, William C. McAfee was a member of the fire

of continuous and faithful service; and

WHEREAS, The said William C. McAfee has become per-
manently disabled by reason of injuries received while
