Appropria-
tions for
schools and
charitable
Institutions.

State Treasury, pay such sums of money herein appropri-
ated, for the objects and purposes hereinbefore specified, to
or upon the order of the trustees of the McDonough Charity
School, a corporation ; provided, however, that before any
portion of the said money shall be so paid, the trustees of
the said McDonough Charity School shall file with the
Treasurer of the State a bond, with surety to be approved
by him, in the penalty double the amount of the aggregate
sum herein appropriated, conditioned for the performance of
the condition hereinbefore imposed as to furnishing said
scholarships.
81. To the Maryland Agricultural College, the sum of fif-
teen thousand dollars for maintenance, together with the fol-
lowing amounts : The sum of eight thousand dollars for
indebtedness for heating new building ; the sum of eight
thousand dollars for buildings erected on the grounds for
which no appropriation was made ; the sum of six thousand
dollars for repairing and increasing boiler capacity for old
boilers ; the sum of two thousand three , hundred and eigh-
teen dollars and eighty-six cents for deficiency in interest on
college endowment ; the sum of six thousand seven hundred
and forty-two dollars and ten cents for liens and outstanding
debt against administration building, aggregating forty-six
thousand and sixty dollars and ninety-six cents for the fiscal
year 1907 ; and the sum of fifteen thousand dollars for
maintenance, together with the further sum of two thousand
dollars for steam laundry, and the sum of two thousand
three hundred and eighteen dollars and eighty-six cents for
deficiency in interest on college endowment, aggregating the
sum of nineteen thousand three hundred and eighteen dol-
lars and eighty-six cents for the fiscal year 1908.
82. To the Union Hospital of Cecil County, two thousand
five hundred dollars for the fiscal year 1907 and the like
sum of two thousand five hundred dollars for the fiscal year
1908.
83. To Springfield State Hospital, the sum of ten thousand
dollars for buildings for the fiscal year 1907, and the like
sum of ten thousand dollars for new buildings for the fiscal
year 1908.
84. To St. Martha's Episcopal Home, the sum of one
thousand dollars for the fiscal year 1907, and the like sum
of one thousand dollars for the fiscal year 1908.
