SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That the County Commissioners of Washington county
be and they are hereby authorized and empowered to levy
an amount of taxes sufficient to refund and pay to Lucy H.
Howard, Mary M. Howard and John M. Howard, executors
of George W. Howard, late of Washington county, deceased,
the sum of two hundred and forty dollars and seventy-one
cents ($240.71) erroneously paid by the said executors to
the tax collector of Washington county.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this Act shall take effect
from the date of its passage.

Approved March 16, 1906.

CHAPTER 110.
AN ACT to authorize and empower the Mayor and City
Council of Havre de Grace to contribute to the cost of
erecting an addition to the public school building in
Havre de Grace, and to repair the public streets in said
city and to issue bonds to procure the money necessary
for said purposes.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-

are hereby authorized and empowered to contribute to the
cost of erecting an addition to the public school building in
the city of Havre de Grace to properly accommodate the
white school children in said city a sum of money not exceed-
ing thirty-five hundred dollars, in accordance with an agree-
ment entered into by said Mayor and City Council and the
County School Commissioners of Harford county.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That for the purpose of raising

hereby authorized and empowered to borrow on the faith
and credit of said city an amount not exceeding the sum of
five thousand dollars, and to issue bonds therefor, under the

from one to ten, inclusive, to be signed by the Mayor and
countersigned by the Treasurer of said city; said bonds are
to bear interest at the rate of five per centum per annum,
