SEC 2. And be it enacted, That the Treasurer of the State,
on warrant of the Comptroller, shall disburse the said sum
or sums of money herein appropriated for the objects and
purposes herein specified, to or upon the order of the person
or persons or body politic or corporate, entitled to receive
the same.

SEC. 3. And be it enacted, That this Act shall take effect
from and after the first day of October, 1906.

CHAPTER 810.
AN ACT to appropriate certain sums of money to the sup-
port of sundry schools and charitable institutions in the
State of Maryland for each of the two fiscal years ending
on the thirtieth day of September, 1907, and on the
thirtieth day of September, 1908, respectively.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That the sums of monev hereinafter named be and

they are hereby appropriated to the support of the herein-
after mentioned schools and charitable institutions in the
State for each of the two fiscal years ending on the thirtieth
day of September, 1907, and on the thirtieth day of Septem-
ber, 1908, respectively, to wit :
1. To F. Knapp's English and German Institute, for the
training and education of indigent mutes, the sum of twelve
hundred dollars for the fiscal year 1907, and the like sum of
twelve hundred dollars for the fiscal year 1908 ; and in con-
sideration of said appropriation the said F. Knapp's. English
and German Institute is hereby required and directed to
maintain twelve free scholarships heretofore established in
said institute for the training and education of indigent
mutes, and to train and educate twelve indigent mutes, and
to furnish them with necessary text-books, appliances, etc.
2. To the Lying-in Hospital of the Maternite of Maryland,
the sum of three thousand dollars for the fiscal year 1907,
and the like sum of three thousand dollars for the fiscal year
1908.
3. To the Nursery and Child's Hospital of Baltimore
City, the sum of twenty-five hundred dollars for the fiscal
year 1907, and the like sum of twenty-five hundred dollars
for the year 1908.
