made and ratified as aforesaid; provided, nevertheless, that
as to such tax sales made and ratified as aforesaid prior to
the first day of May, in the year 1900, its operation and
effect shall be suspended for the period of one year from the
first day of May, in the year 1906; this section shall apply
to Prince George's county only.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 804.
AN ACT to repeal and re-enact with amendments Section 2
of Chapter 426 of the Laws of 1904, entitled " An Act to
authorize and empower the Board of Public Works of
Maryland to collect the insurance upon State Tabacco
Warehouses Nos. 1 and 2, and place the same to the
credit of the Tobacco Warehouse Fund, and to either
re-build a modern warehouse on the present site of
Tobacco Warehouses Nos. 1 and 2, and the property
owned by the State adjacent thereto, or to sell said prop-
erty or lease the same for such sum as they may think
right and build a Tobacco Warehouse in some locality of
Baltimore City selected by said Board of Public Works."
WHEREAS, Since the passage of the aforesaid Act the said

insurance money has been collected and the said site of
warehouses Nos. 1 and 2 has been sold by the Board of
Public Works; and
WHEREAS, It is now thought that a warehouse or ware-
houses with a capacity for storing at least fifteen thousand
hogsheads of tobacco is larger than is necessary at the pres-
ent; and
WHEREAS, Said Board of Public Works desire to have
other competent gentlemen associated with them in the pur-
chase of a lot and the erection thereon of a suitable ware-
house; therefore,
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That Section 2 of Chapter 426 of the Laws of 1904,
