CHAP. 103

821. Before the Mayor and City Council of Baltimore
shall pass any ordinance under this Article relating to the

constructing, opening, enlarging or straightening any sewer
through any private street, lane or alley, or through any pri-
vate property, notice shall be given of an application for the
passage of such an ordinance in at least two of the daily
newspapers of said city twice a week for thirty days.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 104.

AN ACT to authorize and empower the County Commis-
sioners of Queen Anne's County to sell and convey to the
body corporate, the trustees of the Methodist Episcopal
Church in Centreville, in Queen's Anne's County and State
of Maryland, the small unoccupied parcel of the public
ground in Centreville between said church and the inclosed
jail lot, and to accept in part payment therefor a convey-
ance of the small strip of land necessary to straighten the
line of said jail lot as now enclosed from Liberty street to
its rear line extended.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-

sell to the body corporate, the trustees of the Methodist
Episcopal Church in Centreville, in Queen Anne's county
and State of Maryland, at such price as may be agreed upon
between them, which agreement shall be reached within
three months from the date of the passage of this Act, the
small unoccupied and uninclosed parcel of the public ground
situated on the west side of Liberty street in Centreville, Queen
Anne's county, State of Maryland, and lying between said
church and the inclosed jail lot, and to accept in part payment
for same the conveyance of the small strip or parcel of land
which would be taken by extending the line on the southern
side of said jail lot by and with the fence from Liberty
street to be intersected by the rear line of said jail lot
extended, and upon the payment of the whole of said pur-
