CHAP. 769

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That Section 288 of Article 23 of the Code of Public

re-enact.

General Laws of the State of Maryland be and the same is
hereby repealed and re-enacted, so as to read as follows :
Section 288. Corporations owning or using any railroad,
steamboat, canal, furnace, colliery or rolling mill in this State,

such persons as the said corporation or corporations may
designate to act as policemen for the protection of the
property of said corporation or corporations, and for the
preservation of peace and good order on their respective
premises, railroad trains or steamboats, providing that such

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this Act shall take effect
from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 770.

AN ACT to authorize the Board of Supervisors of Elec-
tions of Allegany County to change the boundary lines
between Districts 17 and 24, in Allegany County.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That the board of supervisors of elections of Allegany

of eighteen hundred and eighty-eight (1888), Chapter
