SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this Act shall take effect
from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 758.

AN ACT to repeal Sections 9 and 64 of Article 72 of the
Code of Public General Laws, title " Oysters," relating to
the taking of Oysters in the Potomac river.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-

land, That Sections 9 and 64 of Article 72 of the Code of
Public General Laws, title "Oysters," be and the same is
hereby repealed.

And be it enacted, That this Act shall take effect from
from the date of its passage.

Approved April 5, 1906.

CHAPTER 759.

AN ACT to incorporate the Southern Maryland Mutual Fire
Insurance Company, with its principal office at La Plata,
in Charles County, Maryland.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That Adrian Posey, John R. Sinclair, Francis E. Mat-
tingly, Charles E. Wade, Joseph H. Howard, William E.

Repeal.

Simpson, John Z. Swan, Price Gray and John W. Golden,
and their successors, and all persons, firms or corporations
who may hereafter become members of the corporation to
be created by this Act, are hereby created and declared to be
a body politic and corporate by the name, style and title of
" Southern Maryland Mutual Fire Insurance Company," and
by the same name shall have succession, and shall be able
to sue and be sued, plead and be impleaded, answer and
defend, and be answered and defended in all courts of law
and equity in the State or elsewhere; to have, make and use
a common seal, and the same to break, alter and renew at
their pleasure, and shall have full power and authority to
make insurances on any kind of property against loss or
damage by fire or lightning; to provide for the keeping and
investment of funds or assets that may become the property
