CHAP. 687

Eepeal and
re-enact.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That Section 1 of Article 1 of the Code of Public
Local Laws, entitled "Allegany County," sub-title "Alms-
house," be and the same is hereby repealed and re-enacted,
so as to read as follows :

SEC. 2. The County Commissioners of Allegany county

Trustees
appointed,
etc.

at their first meeting in each year shall appoint three trustees
to have charge and general supervision of the almshouse of
said county; they shall also at the same time appoint a
steward and all other necessary officers for said almshouse,
and may purchase all articles necessary for farming the land
thereto attached, and may levy, from time to time, on the
assessable property of the county such sums of money as
shall be necessary for the support of said almshouse. The
steward of the almshouse, appointed as above provided, shall
enter upon the performances of his duties as such within ten
days from the time of his appointment.

SEC. 3. This Act shall take effect from the 1st day of April,
1907.

CHAPTER 588.
AN ACT to incorporate the Kensington Electric Light and
Water Company of Kensington, Montgomery County,
Maryland.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-

Carroll, Eugene Jones, Cornelius Eckhardt, W. A. Johnson,
and T. Conrad Dodge, all residents of the State of Mary-
land, and their associates, successors and assigns, be and they
are hereby created and made a body corporate, under and by
the name and style of the Kensington Electric Light and
Water Company, and by that name shall have perpetual
succession, and shall be capable to sue and be sued, com-
plain and defend in any court of law or equity; to make and
use a common seal and alter the same at pleasure; receive
and to make deeds and contracts; to acquire by purchase,
or in any manner take and receive, hold, use, employ, man-
age, dispose of, or in any manner not inconsistent with law
deal with any property, real, personal or mixed, and situate.
