Repeal.

SEC. 3. And be it enacted. That all Acts or parts of Acts
inconsistent with this Act be and the same are hereby
repealed, and that this Act shall, except as herein otherwise
provided, take effect from and after the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 630.
AN ACT to amend, ratify and perpetuate the Charter of the
Conowingo Water Company of Cecil County, to change
the name of said corporation, to extend and enlarge its
powers and privileges, to authorize certain practice and
proceedings in the acquisition of land and other property
for its use, and to authorize municipalities and corporations
to contract with it.

Perpetual
existence,
etc.
|
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That the authorization of the General Assembly of
Maryland be and the same is hereby declared, given and
granted to the Conowingo Water Company of Cecil County to
have perpetual existence and succession for the uses and pur-
poses set forth in its certificate of incorporation, executed
under Article twenty-three of the Code of Public General
Laws, title "Corporations," and to have the corporate name of
"Conowingo Water Company" after the passage of this Act.

May fix and
determine
the value of
property,
etc.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That said Water Com-
pany be and the same is hereby authorized and empowered,
from time to time, to fix and determine, through the action of
its board of directors, by resolution as to them may seem
expedient and proper, the value of property as related to the
capital stock of said corporation, and to issue from time to
time its stock certificates for full-paid and non-assessable stock,
in accordance therewith, the original holder or holders of such
certificates or the successor or successors not being or becoming
liable to assessment ; and any municipality or municipalities,
corporation or corporations, public or private, of the State of
Maryland, may contract with said Water Company for the
service or supply of water to be applied to any useful purpose.
SEC 3. And be it further enacted, That it shall be lawful
for said company to make and issue, from time to time, its
negotiable bonds of the denomination and to the number by
