CHAP. 628.
|
Chapter 276 of the Acts of 1S92, repealing and re-enacting
Section 124 of Article 23 of the Code of Public Local
Laws, title " Wicomico County," sub-title " Roade," as to
width of roads ; also Chapter 181 of the Acts of 1898, pro-
viding for adding an additional Section to the Code of
Public Local Laws, title " Wicomico County," sub-title
"Roads," and designated as Section "127 A," providing
for condemnation for roads ; and also Chapter 72 of the
Acts of 1900, repealing Section 91 of Article 25 of the
Public General Laws, so far as the same relate to Wicomico
County, and to re-enact the same with amendments.

Repeal
and re-enact
|
SECTION 1. And le it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That sections 113 to 129, inclusive, of Article 23
of the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland, title
"Wicomico County," sub-title " Roads ;" also chapter 276
of the Acts of 1892, repealing and re-enacting section 124 of
Article 23 of the Code of Public Local Laws, title "Wicomico
County," sub-title "Roads," as to width of roads; also
chapter 181 of the Acts of 1898, providing for adding an
additional section to the Code of Public Local Laws, title
" Wicomico County," sub-title " Roads," and designated as
section 127 A, providing for condemnation for roads; and also
chapter 72 of the Acts of 1900, repealing section 91 of Article
25 of the Code of Public General Laws, so far as the same
related to Wicomico county, be and the same are hereby
repealed and re-enacted, so as to read as follows in lieu
thereof.

Control and
regulate
public roads
and bridges.
|
113. The County Commissioners of Wicomico County shall
have control over and regulate, the public roads and bridges in
Wicomico county.
|
|
|
|
Road
supervisors
appointed.
|
114. The County Commissioners of Wicomico County, on
the second Tuesday in the year nineteen hundred and three,
and at the same date in every year hereafter, shall appoint one
road supervisor in each election district to act as such for one
year from the time of his appointment or until his successor
shall qualify. Each of said supervisors shall give bond to the
State of Maryland, with good and sufficient surety, to be
approved, in such sums as the commissioners may deem proper,
conditioned for the faithful and diligent performance by the
said supervisors of all the duties required of them as super-
visors ; which said bonds may be put in suit for the use and
benefit of any one suffering by reason of the neglect of the
said supervisors in keeping the public roads in their districts
in proper and safe condition. And each supervisor, in addi-
