CHAP, 467

collected, paid to and accounted for by the justice of the
peace as the preceding section prescribed; and no warrant
shall be issued by the justice of the peace to the constable
of said sixth district on the oath or affirmation of any other
constables, and no warrant shall be issued by said justice
of the peace to said constables on the oath or affirmation of
any police officer of the city of Annapolis; and when any
warrant is issued by a justice of the peace on the complaint,
oath or affirmation of any constable, sheriff, deputy sheriff or
other officer, and such charge shall be dismissed or the defend-
ant acquitted, no fees in such cases shall be allowed by the
County Commissioners or the Mayor, Counsellor and Alder-
men to any officer serving such warrant or other process.
The constable of the sixth district of said county, for the
service of all processes and summonses for witness made by
him in criminal cases, shall receive from the County
Commissioners the sum of fifty dollars per month, payable in
cash or by levy, equivalent to cash, on the day of his making
his report as provided in the preceding section; provided, that
if the amount of the constable's fees for services of processes
by him as may appear by his report and the report of the
justice of the peace is less than fifty dollars, then and in that
case such constable shall only receive the amount of fees
appearing by said reports to have been earned by him.

CHAPTER 468.
AN ACT to repeal Section one hundred and thirty-eight of
Article eighty-one of the Code of Public General Laws of
Maryland, entitled "Revenue and Taxes, " and re-enact the
same with amendments.

Repeal
and re-enact.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That section one hundred and thirty-eight of
Article eighty-one of the Code of Public General Laws of
Maryland, entitled "Revenue and Taxes, " be and the same is
hereby repealed and re-enacted, so as to read as follows:

furnished.

138. The president or other proper officer of the banks,
State and National, and other incorporated institutions in the
several counties, the city of Baltimore and other incorporated
towns of Maryland, shall annually, on or before the first day
of March, furnish to the County Commissioners of each county
or the Appeal Tax Court of Baltimore City and the city clerk
of each city, town or village incorporated in the State of
Maryland, in which any of its stockholders may reside, a list
of the said stockholders, so far as their place of residence may
