SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall
take effect from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 458.
AN ACT to enlarge and extend the corporate powers of
the Spring Hill Cemetery Company, Talbot County,
authorizing and empowering it to receive by gift, devise or
otherwise contributions in money, land or other property,
and to hold to the same for the purposes therein men-
tioned.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That the corporate powers and privileges of the
Spring Hill Cemetery Company, of Talbot County, a corpo-
ration duly incorporated under the laws of Maryland, be and
the same are hereby enlarged and extended so as to authorize
and empower the said Spring Hill Cemetery Company, of
Talbot county, to receive by gift, devise or otherwise, contri-
butions in money, land or other property, and to hold the
same absolutely or in trust, and invest the same as a perma-
nent and perpetual fund, the profits of which are to be used
for the purpose of keeping in order, according to the direc-
tions of the donor, the burying lots named in the instruments
creating or devising the said fund.
SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this Act shall take effect
from the date of its passage; provided, however, that this
Act shall not be so construed as to interfere with the rights of
any person under a proper legal construction of any Act or
law in force at the time of the passage of this Act.

AN ACT to repeal Sections 5, 6 and 11 of the Act of 1845,
Chapter 165, entitled an Act to incorporate the "Planters'
Mutual Insurance Company of Washington County," and
to re-enact the same with amendments.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That sections 5, 6 and 11 of the Acts of Assem-
bly of 1845, Chapter 165, entitled an Act to incorporate the
"Planters' Mutual Insurance Company of Washington
County," be and the same is hereby repealed and re-enacted,
so as to read as follows :
