SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That said bonds shall be issued
to mature at such dates as shall not require the payment, in
any one year, of more than one thousand dollars of the prin-
cipal sum thereof, and shall be redeeaiable at the pleasure of
said County Commissioners at or before their maturity, but
none of said bonds shall be issued to mature before the first
day of January, nineteen hundred and seventeen.

CHAP. 448.
How issued.

SEC. 3. And be it enacted, That to redeem said bonds the
County Commissioners of Dorchester county shall annually
levy upon the assessable property of said county a tax suffi-
cient to pay the interest on said bonds and principal of such
portions as mature in each and every year after the date of
their issue, and the said levy shall be designated as the
"Hospital Fund."

SEC. 4. And be it enacted, That the proceeds arising from
the sales of said bonds shall be paid over by the County Com-
missioners of said county to the treasurer of the board of direc-
tors of The United Charities Hospital Association of Dorchester
County, Maryland, who shall apply said proceeds under the
direction of the board of directors of said The United Charities
Hospital Association of Dorchester County, Maryland, to aid
in the erection and construction of such hospital building in
the town of Cambridge, county and State aforesaid, as such
board of directors of said The United Charities Hospital
Association may contract for, and for no other purpose.

SEC. 5. And be it enacted, That in the event of the abandon-
ment or failure to use said hospital building as and for a
hospital, then and at such times the said sum of money paid
over to the said treasurer of the board of directors of The
United Charities Hospital Association by virtue of this Act
shall become a first lien upon said hospital building and the
land upon which it is erected.
SEC. 6. And be it enacted, That this Act shall take effect
from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 449.

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact with amendments Section
22 A of Article 75 of the Code of Public General Laws,
title " Pleading, Practice and Process of Law."

Shall become
a first lien.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That section number 22 A of Article number 75
of the Code of Public General Laws, title " Pleading, Prac-
tice and Process of Law," as enacted by chapter number 367

Repeal
