CHAPTER 420.

AN ACT to appoint an additional Justice of the Peace of
the State of Maryland in and for Dorchester County, and
in the Tenth Election District thereof.

appointed.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland. That an additional justice of the peace shall
be appointed by the Governor of this State, in the manner
now provided by law for the appointment of justices of the
peace in this State, in and for the tenth (10) district of
Dorchester county, whose term of office shall begin on
the same day as that of other justices of the peace of said
county.
SEC. 2. And be it enacted, This Act shall take effect from
the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 421.

AN ACT making appropriations for the support of the State
Government for the fiscal year ending on the thirtieth day
of September, nineteen hundred and four.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That for the expenditures in the support of the
State Government for the fiscal year beginning with the first
day of October, nineteen hundred and three, and ending with
the thirtieth day of September, nineteen hundred and four,
the following sums of money, or so much thereof as may be
necessary, be and the same are hereby appropriated, that is to
say :
FOR STATE OFFICERS.
For the salary of the Governor, four thousand and five hun-

sand dollars ; for the salary of the Messenger to the Governor,
one thousand dollars ; for the salary of the Comptroller of the

dollars ; for the salaries of three Assistant Clerks to the Comp-
troller, fifteen hundred dollars each, four thousand tive hun-
