CHAP. 47.

residue of said stock so at any time issued by them, or such
part or parts thereof as they may deem tit to be either sub-
scribed for as aforesaid, or sold as aforesaid, or a part thereof to
be so subscribed for and a part thereof to be sold as aforesaid.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this Act shall take effect
from, the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 47.
AN ACT to authorize and empower the County Commis-
sioners of Washington County to refund to J. T. Snyder's
heirs a sum of money erroneously paid as taxes.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That the County Commissioners of Washington
county be and they are hereby authorized and empowered in

their discretion to levy an amount of taxes, in addition to that
now levied, sufficient to refund and pay to J. T. Snyder's
heirs, of Clearspring, Maryland, the sum of thirty dollars and
seventy cents ($30.70), erroneously paid by the said heirs of
J. T. Snyder to the tax collector of Washington county for
the year 1897 ; for the year 1898 thirty dollars and seventy-one
cents ; for the year 1899 twenty-one dollars and ninety-four
cents, and contrary to the Acts of 1S96, chapter 120, section
194.
SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this Act shall take effect
from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 48.
AN ACT to authorize the County Commissioners of Dor-
chester County, in the State of Maryland, in their discretion,
to construct a drawbridge across the Blackwater river in
said county, at a point called Shorter's Wharf, and to levy
taxes on the assessable property, of said county to pay for
constructing the same.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
